'BRZRKR': Keanu Reeves Turns Comic-Book Writer For BOOM! Studios' Story On An Immortal Mercenary
Keanu Reeves's contribution to 21st century pop-culture is, for lack of a better word, excellent! He has shown us that time travel can be fun via Bill and Ted's adventures, taught that action heroes don't need to be alpha-males with six-pack abs via Speed and Point Break, gave us an awesome comic-book movie via Constantine, revolutionised an actor's involvement in the action choreography and stunt work via The Matrix series, and revitalised the action genre with his John Wick series. The last one has spawned a TV series. Additionally, he's in a video-game called Cyberpunk 2077. And just when we think he's done influencing, he has entered the comic-book domain.
"I have loved comics since I was a young kid and they have been a significant influence on me artistically. To have the chance to create BRZRKR and collaborate with legends in the industry like writer Matt Kindt, artist Alessandro Vitti, color artist Bill Crabtree, letterer Clem Robins, and conceptual/cover artist Rafael Grampá – along with the great folks at BOOM! Studios – is a dream come true."
